Ask not what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive. . . then go do it, because what the world needs are people who have come alive -Howard Thurman

You’ve somehow stumbled onto my website and I’m sure you’re curious as to who I am. Well, my name is Alisha Ochoa, and here’s a little bit about me. Things I love include art, yoga, hugs, the beach, kittens, coffee, rock climbing, dogs, reading, music, french fries, chocolate, cooking, narwhals, and friends… just to name a few. I have a cheesy sense of humor and I love to take moments to appreciate the little things in life. I’m a California native and love where I live. I’m on an exploration to figure out what makes me come alive, how I can be more distinctly human, and how I can encourage others to do the same.

I often find liveliness in quiet moments; the first sip of coffee, the flowers blossoming on the sidewalk, the sun on my skin, or a smile from a stranger. As an artist I’ve discovered that inspiration comes from everywhere, particularly nature. My friends joke that I’m a worshipper of the sun and a child of the moon. I use these small glimpses of perfection to create art, explore my mind, and share a little joy with those around me. As a yoga instructor and artist I’ve found that giving others a space for reflection is priceless, it’s what makes others come alive.
